Privacy Policy
Effective April 11, 2026
The short version: your location never leaves your device. The app uses it only to compute the moon's position. No account required. No location data is ever uploaded, stored, or shared.
Location
The app requests access to your device's location so it can compute the moon's position for your coordinates. All calculations happen entirely on your device using the latitude and longitude provided by iOS.
Your location is never transmitted to any server. It is never stored outside the app, never logged, and never shared with third parties. You can also set a custom location manually — in that case, no system location access is used at all.
Crash reporting & analytics
The app uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used. These services are provided by Google.
Crash reports include the device model, iOS version, and a stack trace describing what went wrong. Analytics data includes things like which screens were viewed and how often the app is opened. This data is pseudonymous — it cannot be used to identify you personally, and it is never linked to your location or any other sensitive information.
No advertising identifiers (IDFA) are used or collected. For more detail on how Firebase handles data, see firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
No accounts, no tracking
Lunar Hunt & Fish does not require an account. There is no login, no profile, and no way to identify you as an individual user. The app does not use advertising networks, does not track you across other apps or websites, and does not sell any data to anyone.
Your data
Because no personal data is stored on any server, there is nothing to delete or export. If you uninstall the app, any locally stored preferences are removed from your device along with it.
If you believe we have inadvertently collected data about you, contact us at [email protected] and we will address it promptly.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the effective date at the top and, if the change is significant, note it in the App Store release notes. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
